Your Power of Influence Day 22

Internal Equals External
“We are living in extraordinary times, when old boundaries are melting, assumptions long sanctified are being fearlessly questioned, and mental boxes that had seemingly been made of steel are crumbling all around us.  Ask someone in business about their quarterly earnings and they’re liable to tell you about emotional gators affecting the workplace.  Ask someone about their spiritual awakening, and they’re liable to talk about extending their spiritual values into social activism.   One simple thought now promises to transform Western civilization:  At the deepest level, there is no separation between internal and external.  All outer phenomena are mere reflections of consciousness, and there is no changing the external world without addressing internal factors.  Knowing that our primary spiritual task is to love, the highest work of consciousness is to not only try to find our love but also extend it into the world”, writes Marianne Williamson in Imagine.

A Vision for America

Author, Paul Hawken, focuses his time on working with governments, commerce, and nonprofit organizations on issues of cultural and ecological restoration.  His vision is that in 50 years, America will be a culture where no materials used in industry cause damage to anyone now or later:  it will be a society that emulates the design brilliance of nature; it will be a country that is connected, aware, and committed to the future.  It will be an America that knows to sustain and honor life on Earth.

Soul Awareness
Deepak Chopra’s vision is that in this millennium, our longing to know that we have souls will actually be fulfilled. To know ourselves as souls we can know that at every moment, our souls are turning virtual reality – the invisible realm beyond time and space – into our slice of material reality.  This process is the entire basis of life; without it, nothing could exist.

In Deepak’s words:
•    Your soul is universal – it is not located in any one place.
•    Your soul relates to you without any connectors that you can see, touch, or hear.
•    Your soul gives rise to new and creative impulses, seemingly out of the blue.
•    Your soul’s status in the everyday world is uncertain, yet you can be certain of it by setting aside everyday rules.
•    Your soul is the potential for everything in your reality, the possibility that your mind turns into actuality.

The quantum pioneers took an astounding leap when they said that everything visible has roots in the invisible, that all things in time spring from the timeless.

Process:
What is your vision?

We hope the stories of just a very few of the wonderful things already happening around the world help you to envision possibilities in the contrasting diversity of life and focus on solutions.  If you thought it, it’s in vibrational existence.

To help the realization of it in physical you might do the time tested process of creating a vision board on a topic of interest to you.  Then if it feels good to look at it, put it where you can see it.  If thoughts of it still not manifested happen, put it away and be delighted in a future time when you come across it and realize it already occurred.

Melbourne To Diversify Its Water Supply System
Most public water supplies are distributed from a central reservoir with a treatment installation attached.  From there the water travels through pipes to homes and businesses.  Smart grids allow water to be collected and distributed in a range of places – recycled from industry in one neighborhood, say, and taken from a nearby river in another.  A diversity of local sources means water can travel a much shorter distance.

Australian researchers are looking into setting up such a decentralized system.  A new interactive map of the city of Melbourne shows the different ways water can be sourced.  Produced by a group of Victoria state utilities, it shows which neighborhoods are best suited for collecting rainwater, or using surface water, or storing water behind a dam or recycling it from industrial cooling.

“Allowing more forms of water collection will make the system more robust.”  says project director Christine Cussen.  The parts of a decentralized network can be linked via pipes and smart sensors.  “If it hasn’t rained for a while,” she says, “water can come from another network’s alternative source.”  ~  Robert Visscher
