21 Day Awareness Challenge Day 17

Awareness.Day17Awareness Challenge Day 17

Week Three – Awareness of our creative ability

Centering Thought for the day:

The Law of Attraction Is My Life’s Basis

Since the Law of Attraction is the basis of your experience, an understanding of it is essential to living life on purpose.  In fact, an understanding of the Law of Attraction is essential to living the life of joy that you came into physical to live.

What I think and feel and what I get are always a match.  And so, if I want something different than what I’ve been getting,  I have to, somehow, generate different feelings.   ~Abraham

Your thoughts about money (or anything else) create your destiny.  Be very careful what you think. ~Suze Orman

Processes

  • Meditate to clearly align your two perspectives.
  • Thinking/Manifesting Correlation: Give a subject some attention and see what occurs during the week in relationship to that particular subject.
  • Journal: Record your experiences with your “subject”. Did it show up during the week?  How?
    • Also write to times you experience a direct correlation between what you were thinking and what happened next.  Did you think of a friend you had not seen in a while and then they called? Any instances this week of something manifesting after you had thoughts or conversation about it?

Awareness Challenge Day 16

Week Three – Awareness of our creative ability.

Centering Thought for the day:

I Am a Magnet, Attracting to Myself What I Focus On

See yourself as a magnet attracting to yourself the essence of whatever you are thinking and feeling.  For example, if you feel poor, you cannot attract prosperity…It defies the Law.

When you offer a vibration, the Universal forces are working in concert with each other  in order to satisfy you. You really are the center of the Universe.  ~Abraham

The choice not to choose is the choice to remain unconscious and therefore to wield power irresponsibly.  ~Gary Zukav

 Processes

  • Meditate to clearly align your two perspectives.
  • Thinking/Manifesting Correlation: Give a subject some attention and see what occurs during the week in relationship to that particular subject.
  • Journal: Record your experiences with your “subject”. Did it show up during the week?  How?
    • Also write about the times you experience a direct correlation between what you were thinking and what happened next.  Did you think of a friend you had not seen in a while and then they called? Awareness Challenge Day 15

(begins week three)

  • Week One  – Awareness of the Attraction Based Consciousness concepts and the presences of Spirit
  • Week Two – Awareness of our Seat of the Soul/Self and the voice in our head
  • Week Three – Awareness of our creative ability

Centering Thought for the Day:

My thoughts become things.

Whatever you’re thinking about is literally like planning a future event.  When you’re worrying, you are planning. When you are appreciating, you are planning…What are you planning?  ~Abraham

This quantum field is influenced by intention and desire.                    ~Deepak Chopra

You create your own reality might seem preposterous when there are obviously things in your life that you would not have consciously chosen. There are subtleties to the creative process that easily obscure the magnitude of our power.  Thus, the purpose of this week’s focus is to clarify further and become more aware our creative power.

 The ABC creative process:

Ask   ~   Believe  ~  Cooperate

Ask:  Because we are always thinking, we are always sending out thought vibrations. The higher vibrational end of the thought wave is then attracted by and incorporated into our Source Energy/Soul. Thus we are actually always asking.  Of course, you can be conscious or oblivious about what you are thinking and speaking and ask by default. Or you can be aware and create deliberately.

Believe: Our job is to believe that we are vibrational energy beings in an attraction based universe; that the high vibrational end of our thoughts are attracted by our Source Energy which in turn attracts similar vibrations; that a Virtual Vibrational Vortex of what we desire is formed; that all we desire is there, we have asked and it has been given vibrationally; that all we desire awaits our attention to be manifest into physical form.

  •  Whether you believe that construct or not, do believe that Law of Attraction rules and the vibration you emanate is the vibration you attract.

Cooperate: Now the workout – to manifest what we desire, we need to be a cooperative player. We need to consciously calibrate the vibrations of our physical perspective with our nonphysical perspective. With our two perspectives in clear alignment we allow the manifestation of what we want to be, do, and have.

Week Three Processes:

  • Meditate: Calming the mind is a time-tested way of clearly aligning our two perspectives.  Not only are we then increasing our awareness of our Soul/Seat and the voice, we are actually assisting the manifestation of our desires by raising our vibration so that what we desire is allowed.
  • Thinking/Manifesting Correlation: Choose something random to think about like the checkerboard pattern or feathers.  Think about it for a bit:  Recall all the places you have seen the checkerboard pattern used other than the game board. Ones you have liked or unusual ones. Or do some thinking about the mired of feathers, color and sizes.  How Native Americans use them in customs.
    • Whatever you choose, just give that subject some attention and see what occurs during the week in relationship to that particular subject.
  •  Journal: Record your experiences with your “subject”. Did it show up during the week?  How?
    • Also write about the times you experience a direct correlation between what you were thinking and what happened next.  Did you think of a friend you had not seen in a while and then they called? Any instances this week of something manifesting after you had thoughts or conversations about it?

Awareness Challenge Day 14

Week Two – Awareness of our Seat of the Soul/Self and the voice in our head

Our Lord opened my spiritual eye and showed me my soul in the middle of my heart, and I saw the soul as wide as if it were an infinite world, and as if it were a blessed kingdom. ~ Julian of Norwich

Meditate for fifteen minutes. You might think of the day as a meditation, so that you go through the day as the observer does in meditation and let the thoughts go by and then bring your attention back to center.

Directing the Voice: Thought Shift and Lean Back
In his book, The Power of Now, Eckhart Tolle writes of the mind as a superb instrument, if used righty.  “Used wrongly, however, it becomes very destructive.  To put it more accurately, it is not so much that you use your mind wrongly – you usually don’t use it at all.  It uses you.  This is the disease.  You believe that you are your mind.  This is the delusion.  The instrument has taken you over.”

Journal about what you have been aware of in meditation and during the day.  Where in your body do you experience the sense of calm, your Soul/Self? What has the voice been saying? Do you see patterns?  Were you able to Thought Shift?  Did leaning back work for you?

Additional Questions: What has it felt like this week to be the user (at least at times) of your mind instead of it using you?  Do you have a sense of being the one that can be in control?  That you can live mindfully?

It is never too late to give up our prejudices.
~ Henry David Thoreau

…learn to seize your joy,
for joy is always near.
~ Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

We can only be said to be alive in
those moments when our hearts are
conscious of our treasures.
~ Thornton Wilder

Fire your inner critic and reinstate your inner fan club.

Awareness Challenge Day 13

Week Two – Awareness of our Seat of the Soul/Self and the voice in our head

I do not know where The “I” is, nor do I seek It…I am so plunged And submerged in the source Of infinite love, As if I were quite under water in the sea and could not touch, see, feel anything on any side except water. ~ Catherine of Genoa

•    Meditate for fifteen minutes: A suggested exercise – Focus on an Experience of Love (from Meditation for the Love of It by Sally Kempton)

Close your eyes.  Focus on your breathing, following the breath for a few moments to let your mind calm down.  Then think of someone for whom you feel love or whom you loved in the past.  Imagine that you are with this person. Visualize him or her before you or beside you.  To anchor yourself in the memory, you might become aware of the setting or notice what this person is wearing.  Let yourself feel love for this person.  Open yourself to the feeling.  Once you are fully present with that feeling of love, let go of the thought of the person.  Focus entirely on the feeling of love.  Allow yourself to rest in it.  Feel the energy of love within your body and within your heart.

•    Directing the Voice: Thought Shift and Lean Back

•    Journal about what you have been aware of in meditation and during the day.

Where in your body do you experience the sense of calm, your Soul/Self?

What has the voice been saying? Do you see patterns?

Were you able to Thought Shift?

Did leaning back work for you?

Additional Questions: Did doing the suggested meditation visualization bring home the awareness that you were able to experience the love within you simply by where you put your attention?  What else might you imagine that would initiate the feeling of love?

[box]A man came to Buddha
And asked him, “Are you the Messiah?”
“No,” answered Buddha
“Then are you a saint?”
“No.”
“Then are you a teacher?”
“No.”
“Then what are you?” asked
the student, exasperated.
“I am awake,” Buddha answered.[/box]

•    Meditate for fifteen minutes

The spark divine dwells in thee: let it grow. ~ Ella Wheeler Wilcox

•    Directing the Voice: Thought Shift and Lean Back

Thought Shift Suggestion: Try appreciating the thought that caused an unpleasant feeling. Appreciate that you noticed the feeling. Appreciate the clarity that recognizing what you do not want gave you about what you do want.

You are only one thought away from a good feeling. ~ Shelia Krystal

Lean Back Suggestion: Try adding counting your breaths as you lean back.

    •    Journal about what you have been aware of in meditation and during the day.  Where in your body do you experience the sense of calm, your Soul/Self? What has the voice been saying? Do you see patterns?  Were you able to Thought Shift?  Did leaning back work for you?

Additional Question: Can you claim your beauty, value, and wholeness? Can you dump undue criticism and embrace self-respect?

Week Two – Awareness of our Seat of the Soul/Self and the voice in our head.

The Critical Voice is Not Your Own

You were born with wide-eyed innocence and extraordinary confidence to explore the world as a grand adventure.  You loved yourself just as you were, had no qualms about being naked, and told the truth about what felt good and what felt bad. ~ Alan Cohen

•    Meditate for fifteen minutes.  If, when you sit to meditate, the voice is not about to go calm, try focusing it on something pleasant. That also gets you into harmony with your source.

Recall as often as you wish; a happy memory never wears out. ~Libby Fudim

•    Directing the Voice: Thought Shifting and Lean Back

If you are caught in a thought loop and shifting your thought might be difficult try saying the general statement from the young hotel manager in the movie, Exotic Marigold Hotel – “Everything works out all right in the end. If it is not all right, it is not the end.”

•    Journal about what you have been aware of in meditation and during the day.  Where in your body do you experience the sense of calm, your Soul/Self? What has the voice been saying? Do you see patterns?  Were you able to Thought Shift?  Did leaning back work for you?

•    Additional Questions: Whose voice have you adopted as your inner critic? Can you let the critical voice go in favor of self-appreciation?

Week Two – Awareness of our Seat of the Soul/Self and the voice in our head

Stop terrorizing yourself with your thoughts. ~ Louise L Hay

•    Meditate: fifteen minutes a day.  Sometimes changing the cadence of your breathing gives you a focus that keeps your attention.  Try inhaling to the count of three and exhaling to the count of five.

•    Directing the Voice: Thought Shifting and Lean Back

Awareness does not fight; Awareness releases.  Awareness is simply aware while everything in the universe parades before it (including your thoughts). ~  Michael Singer

•    Journal: about what you have been aware of in meditation and during the day.  Where in your body do you experience the sense of calm, your Soul/Self? What has the voice been saying? Do you see patterns?  Were you able to Thought Shift?  Did leaning back work for you?

Additional Question: Is the voice inside your head constantly criticizing you?

Week Two – Awareness of our Seat of the Soul/Self and the voice in our heads.

The one you are looking for, Is the one who is looking. ~ Meister Eckhart

•    Meditate for fifteen minutes each day. The energy modality, Theta Healing suggests that the Soul/Self is located at the pineal gland in about the center of your brain. Can you feel a sense of serenity if you place your attention in that region of your brain and breath into it?

•    Directing the Voice:

Thought Shift – Do you find it easier to distract yourself with a different thought or go more general on the same topic.

Lean Back – Does leaning back enable you to let a thought roll by?

•    Journal: about what you have been aware of in meditation and during the day.  Where in your body do you experience the sense of calm, your Soul/Self? What has the voice been saying? Do you see patterns?  Were you able to Thought Shift?  Did leaning back work for you?

Additional questions: Who or what is it that you are looking for? Does Meister Eckhart’s quote make sense to you?
